Correlate Search, the financial services specialist search firm, with offices in London, Hong Kong and Dubai have been selectively building their consulting team in London and Asia. Managing Director Gavin Bonnet commented Backed by strong client demand we have moved to hire a select number of senior individuals to fill key product areas to match our clients needs.
In London David Newhouse has rejoined the firm after a 10 years gap. David has a wide experience gained as a broker in London and Asia and more recently as a hedge fund manager. David will cover equity derivatives and quant strategy markets. He will be supported by Tricia Tucker who joins the firm having spent a year working for a consultancy focusing on humanitarian, UN and Government projects in the Middle East. Previous to this Tricia worked for Omerta where she covered the Quant and Risk markets.
Richard Melkonian has joined the FICC team to cover the Interest Rate market. He joins from the broker Tradition, where he was selling fixed income products to UK institutions. Simon Head, who leads the fixed income practise commented, we are delighted that Richard has joined. He has enjoyed a successful career both in the markets and search in London and New York and brings a wealth of experience to our FICC coverage.
Andre Berry has joined the firm to work with Colleen Quilty to add to the busy commodity practise. Andre was most recently a Director at SSY Futures on the Tanker Derivative desk in London and setting up a Singapore team for 3 years. In 2009 he was chairman of the Baltic Exchange Tanker Forward Freight Agreement Brokers Association (FFABA). Before this he has spent 5 years in the Oil industry at Channoil where he specialised in the Crude Oil markets. He also has 7 years in Dry Cargo chartering with P & O London and Clarskons Asia Hong Kong. He is FSA registered and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
Commenting on the front office appointments, Simon Vaughan-Edwards, Managing Director, Global Markets said we have enjoyed a considerable upturn in client activity this year which has highlighted some gaps in our front office coverage. We are delighted to have been able to hire senior individuals with markets experience to complete our coverage across all products and function within the global markets space.
Matthew Hutchins has joined the firm to work alongside Gavin Bonnet in the Regulatory and Governance space. Gavin Bonnet, Managing Director, Business management and controls, commented Matthew has great experience particularly in compliance space and joins at a time where we have seen unprecedented demand from the client base for senior individuals in the regulatory functions across the buy and sell side. Additionally David Aldridge has been promoted to cover the Legal markets and an additional hire in senior operations is expected soon.
In Hong Kong Miles Henderson has joined the firm to lead the FICC practise in Asia. Miles joins from Goldman Sachs where he was an Executive Director where he developed, marketed, structured and executed solutions for Asian insurance companies and pension funds. Previously he was the Head of the Life and Pensions Group at HSBC and also held a number of positions at JPM. Russell Kopp, Managing Director Correlate Hong Kong commented Miles is a highly experienced market professional whose primary career has been trading, structuring and selling, across rates, fixed income, derivatives, and ALM. He will bring a great deal of experience and credibility to our market offering in what is an extremely busy sector for our clients and we are delighted to have him on board
