Executive Headhunters, one of the UKs leading providers of talent management solutions, revealed that they are facing their biggest wave of mandates since 2007. As UK Plc reshapes its boardroom and employer confidence in the economy resumes, Executive Headhunters has seen demand increase by 75% for the last three consecutive quarters.
While many recruitment companies experienced a fall in revenue of up to a third with some 11% closing their doors altogether over the last three years, Executive Headhunters have fared particularly well and proved more resilient than their high street consultancy colleagues.
Commenting on the latest figures, Phil Sharp, managing director of Executive Headhunters, said: Throughout the recession we have managed to successfully buck the trend within our industry. Widespread corporate restructuring that has continued to take place since the start of the recession has seen a plethora of senior figures tumble but with it a lack of readily available talent to help steer organisations through the recent financial crisis and beyond.
Because of our unique approach to recruiting, we are able to access the so-called hidden market to find the right candidates for our clients by proactively hunting for both passive and active job seekers who are in the market as well as on the market. This has proven to be a winning formula for our clients.
At a time when business is at its most competitive, employer demand for a recruitment partner who not only has an in-depth understanding of their industry but also has a proven track record in successfully filling the specific types of roles they need for their organisations, has become a must-have rather than a nice-to-have requirement.
Our clients are increasingly focused on reducing their recruitment costs over the long term which is often the result of costly mis-hires. While at the same time they need to ensure they secure the best talent for their organisations to sharpen their company's competitive edge, he adds.
Poor hiring decisions are directly responsible for 80% of staff turnover and can cost employers one-third of the departing employees annual salary to find a replacement, said Mr Sharp. And the more senior the role the higher the turnover costs become, with senior management positions costing twice their annual salary to replace employers cannot afford to write off this cost.
As a recognised leader in search and selection recruitment, Executive Headhunters Ltd specialises in sourcing business-critical executive, management and senior roles for companies across the Retail and FMCG to Pharmaceutical, Legal, Energy, Manufacturing and Telecommunications sectors. And their continued growth and expansion is exemplified by their recent launch of the Headhunter Training Academy the only training academy for headhunters in the UK.
With employers increasingly in the fortunate position of being able to cherry-pick the candidates they want, our industry has been forced to raise the bar in the provision of the service we provide, says Anna Davidson, Learning & Development Manager for the Headhunter Training Academy.
The Headhunter Training Academy has been established to meet the needs of employers utilising the services of a specialist executive search and selection consultancy with highly trained, highly skilled professional recruiters it is our guarantee of an altogether superior service.
