A Yorkshire-based human resources and recruitment firm is celebrating its launch with a series of new sporting contracts.
Within a month of launch, Bradford-based Synergy People Solutions has partnered with Bradford City, Bury, York City and Ossett Albion football clubs.
The firm is the brainchild of HR consultant, Brian Carlton, and recruitment specialist, Billy Bingham.  Both have successfully run their own businesses for several years and, when they met last year through networking organisation BNI, realised they shared a similar vision and ambitions for those businesses.
Brian explains: I always wanted a business that was about more than just HR.  Once Billy and I got talking it was clear he had the same idea for his recruitment company, and the Synergy concept was born.
The result is Synergy People Solutions an integrated HR and recruitment consultancy with expertise that can support businesses throughout its entire employee life cycle.  Billy says the way the firm is structured means it can meet the needs of SMEs looking for help across the board as well as larger organisations seeking specialist HR and recruitment advice on a consultancy basis.
He says: Our combined experience means we can start helping businesses from the point at which they think they're ready to recruit.  By working closely with our clients we can help them identify when they need to recruit and at what level then help them find, keep and develop the right people. Nobody is doing this for SMEs in the region.
Both directors have blue chip backgrounds and a wealth of experience in their respective sectors.  Brian brings 15 years' HR expertise including time with UPS and global facilities management company, Aramark, and has run his own business for the last two years.  Billy has 12 years' recruitment industry experience and a track record in organisations including Adecco. He has also run his own recruitment business for the last three years.  Together, the two can deliver integrated HR and recruitment support across the board for SMEs and larger organisations alike.
Bradford City Football Club was one of the first organisations to realise the benefits of Synergy's integrated approach.  The club has appointed Synergy to manage its HR requirements on an ongoing basis, and it was Billy's knowledge of the football world and close links with Bradford City that gave Synergy the edge when it came to securing that and the other contracts.
Bradford City Chief Executive, David Baldwin, says: We recognise as a club the need for having the right level of support to maintain our existing framework. The fact that Synergy is locally based and Billy has previous links with the club meant it was a no brainer choosing Synergy as our preferred HR partner.  We're looking forward to forming a long lasting relationship with them.
Synergy has ambitious growth plans and Brian says its modular structure means the service is scaleable, enabling Synergy to service the needs of SMEs as well as supplementing the in house resources of larger corporates.
