Recruiters complete the Great North Run for children's charity
Last weekend, staff from Hays, the leading recruiting expert, took part in The Bupa Great North Run, in order to raise money for Hays charity partner Action for Children. The worlds biggest half marathon, which is now in its 30th year, took place on the 19th September 2010 between Newcastle and South Shields.
Action for Children is one of the UK's largest children's charities working with over 156,000 children, young people and their families at around 420 projects across the UK. Action for Children is committed to transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people, helping them break through injustice, deprivation and inequality so as they can achieve their full potential.
Jeff Taylor, Regional Director at Hays, comments: Over a dozen of Hays employees, including myself, worked and trained hard to make sure we were ready for this challenge. Having completed the race, we are all very inspired to continue to raise money wherever possible. This event has already raised over 3,500 towards this years target for our chosen charity, Action for Children. We would like to thank friends, families, colleagues and the local community for all their support. To donate please visit: www.justgiving.com/jeff-taylor
