Scantec strengthens team with three new appointments
Leading North West recruitment agency Scantec has appointed three new members of staff to the business.
Simon Stearn has been appointed to principle recruitment consultant in the electrical, control and instrumentation division. He has more than five years experience within the oil and gas recruitment industry and will be using his expertise to develop Scantecs presence in the UK market.
Shaun Robinson has held senior sales roles in the construction chemical industry and will be working as a recruitment consultant in the mechanical and piping division.
Katie Roberts will be working in Scantecs defence division as resourcer, which will draw upon skills from her previous role as an advice and support agent in the digital and communications sector.
Peter Bates, managing director of Scantec said that the three new appointments will contribute to the firms growth strategy.
We have seen an increase in demand for personnel and the three new appointments will enable us to continue to expand the specialist technical and engineering recruitment service we offer, he said. The Recruitment and Employment Confederations (REC) Jobs Outlook announced that 31 pc of employers interviewed expected to increase their use of temporary workers in the next 12 months and 29 pc predicted their permanent workforce would grow over the same period. We want to capitalise on growth in the sector and the knowledge and capability that the new appointments bring will facilitate us to achieve that.
