Senior Executives Forfeiting Bonuses for Share Options
28% of top head-hunters report an increase in senior executives receiving share options over bonuses
New research compiled by InterExec, the Confidential Agent for executives seeking over 150k, has revealed that more than a quarter of head-hunters (28%) are seeing an increase in the number of employers giving senior executives share options, rather than a bonus.
Kit Scott Brown, chief executive of InterExec, commented: Offering share options rather than a bonus is currently proving to be a very popular option taken by employers. Historically bonuses were the preferred remuneration method but given the current public sentiment towards bonuses, many companies are choosing share options over bonuses.
