Aspire People pass REC Quality Mark Audit with 100%
Even when you know you are doing everything by the book a surprise audit always puts doubt in to your head. A week ago the auditors from the Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC) quality mark announced they were visiting Aspire People.
Although our safer recruitment operations are fool-proof and we were confident of passing for the 6th year in a row, it was panic stations.Having held the prestigious award for 5 years since Aspire People was formed, we were passionate about maintaining our reputation. Everyone pulled together as a team and worked endless hours to double check our processes.
When the Quality Mark Assessor, Elizabeth Grant finally arrived, we were nervous. We watched her quietly beaver away, scrupulously checking an abundance of candidate files. She gave nothing away!
After 4 hours Elizabeth summoned our Director and owner of Aspire People, Michaela Powell, to give her verdict. All of us nervously awaited the announcement.
The relief was immense when Michaela announced: 'Very well done everyone. Not only have we passed our audit but we scored 100%. I am so proud of us. We have achieved so much this month and this is the icing on the cake.'
'All of the team here are so passionate about the safety of children so how rewarding to be recognised for going that extra mile.'
Even though we have been re-awarded the safeguarding children quality mark for another year Aspire People will not become complacent. Safer recruitment runs through our culture and we will continue to improve our operations and develop new innovative ways of safeguarding children.
