Extrastaff Sales up 40%

Extrastaff, the high street driving and industrial recruitment specialist, has released its interim results for the first half of 2010, which show a 39.5% increase in turnover on 2009 (5.52m vs 4.04m).

The company invested in its staff and infrastructure during the downturn and emerged stronger than ever having faced no branch closures or redundancies in the wake of economic turbulence unlike the majority of its competitors.

In addition, 2010 has seen the opening of two new branches bringing its network to 12 sites across the UK.

According to CEO, Tim Millward, business growth accelerated in the last six months of 2009 and did not slow down after Christmas, a trend historically evidenced across driving and industrial sectors:

2009 was obviously a difficult year for the whole industry he said but our high quality ethic which runs through the business meant that unlike many of our competitors, we didnt have to close any branches, make any redundancies nor pre-pack as seems to have happened to many in our industry. We even had our usual Summer and Christmas parties for the staff. Momentum is back on track and we look set to have the strongest year in our history to date.

Millward attributes Extrastaffs success (which is ahead of national trends and jobs indicators) to the premium service his team delivers:

Our board has been through 3 recessions and temp blue collar businesses tend to be the first in but also the first out. We have a fantastic team throughout the branch network. Its been bloody tough but the companys strength has improved as a result and clients appreciate our stability.

We havent had to change our culture or find ways to make sensational claims or bargain-basement offers our high quality ethos is fundamentally interwoven in the fabric of our business.

Extrastaff has nearly 40 employees based out of 12 branches. Founded in 2003, it has a growing reputation for delivering strong solutions across blue collar recruitment. The companys ambition is to become the leading high street recruitment across driving and industrial in the UK.
