Mentoring Initiative Develops Leadership of the Future

Mentoring Initiative Develops Leadership of the Future
Developing the next generation of recruitment leadership is the focus of a new mentoring initiative launched in October 2010 by RP International (RPI), the leading telecoms and technology search firm.
The scheme, which pairs high performing consultants with a member of the organisations senior management team, is an opportunity for talented individuals to progress their career and practice by engaging with a leading recruitment professional.
Each mentor will support and challenge their mentee by encouraging them to face up to opportunities, problems, strengths and weaknesses as well as introducing them to individuals and sources of knowledge.
The RPI management team has a wealth of industry expertise and significant personal development experience. Mentors include Stephen Lovelace, the founding director of Parity and Chairman of RPI, and Richard Goddard, who built up a track record in the start-up and growth of teams in the UK, mainland Europe and Asia while at PSD Group plc before establishing RPI Technology.
The mentoring scheme pairs individuals from different geographical locations and practice areas to prevent any interference with the line management relationship.
Talking about the initiative, Chairman Stephen Lovelace said:
Im a great supporter of the mentor programme because it gives people an opportunity to consult with somebody who sits outside the square.
CEO Stuart Wilson added:
RP International is committed to developing the talent of every employee. This mentoring scheme builds on the comprehensive career progression programme we launched at the beginning of the year and demonstrates our creative approach to realising the potential of every member of our team.
