Robert Half International Inc. says its third-quarter profit more than doubled, as demand rose across all of its business segments.
For the three months ended Sept. 30, Robert Half said its net income jumped to $20.6 million, compared with $9.5 million, in the year-ago quarter.
Revenue rose 13 percent to $817.3 million, from $725.9 million last year.
Chairman and CEO Harold M. Messmer Jr. said each of the company's staffing divisions and Protiviti, its consulting and internal audit unit, saw revenue gains.
Revenue in its largest unit, Accountemps, increased 9 percent to $312.4 million. Its OfficeTeam unit revenue rose 22 percent to $163.4 million, and its technology division climbed 17 percent to $87.3 million.
Notably, the company said operating income in its permanent placement staffing units rose to $5.1 million, after reporting a loss last year.
