Chris Gunn joins Archer Mathieson to strengthen and grow human resources recruitment team

Chris Gunn has joined Windsor based Archer Mathieson as a senior consultant to strengthen and grow the firms human resources search practice, hiring senior executives in the 80200,000 salary bracket. Gunn, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, is a senior figure of the recruitment industry with 25 years experience. He spent the last ten years with specialist recruitment firm Daniel Williams Consultancy, latterly as a divisional director. Gunn is the first of several strategic hires planned by Archer Mathiesons new chief executive Richard Wright, who joined the firm in July.

Chris is a seasoned recruitment professional. He brings with him an excellent network of executive-level contacts in the Thames Valley area and a solid track record. In his last role, he was a top performer, exceeding revenue targets and outperforming peers for the last eight years. That gives some idea of his ability. The human resources function is becoming increasingly strategic as companies recognise its critical importance to success. This, in turn, is driving strong competition for top level HR management talent. Chris will help clients of Archer Mathieson to attract that talent, he says.

Gunn says hes already enjoying being back in a client and candidate-facing recruitment role, after a couple of years managing others in these roles.

This is a chance to go back to what I like best establishing and building relationships at a senior level to help people realise their career ambitions and companies hire the best executives. Archer Mathieson combines a well-known name in executive recruitment with a specialisation in human resources so presents the perfect platform for me to do that. Human resources is fast-changing, dynamic and business critical function, and Im looking forward to being part of that.

Archer Mathieson is one of four recruitment companies that make up The Cornhill Partnership. Its sister firms are London based Correlate Search, Euromedica and BIE Interim Executive.
