Now Recruitment appoints development director
Firm appoints development director
One of the UKs fastest growing recruitment companies has appointed a development director to maximise the talent in the business.
Now Recruitment, which is based in Birmingham and has offices in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Watford, Edinburgh and Cardiff as well as branches in Australia, hired Tracey Androlia to head up all aspects of staff training in the firm.
Tracey, who has worked in recruitment since 1996 and also runs her own recruitment training company, Purple Clarity, was employed after successfully working with Now Recruitment on a consultancy basis from September last year.
She says: A lot of development is about working with the clients to further the business, but at Now Recruitment it is more about the employees themselves.
The managing director, Gary Redman, recognises the importance of looking after the people in his business and investing in their development, which is wonderfully refreshing, particularly at a time of economic uncertainty when a lot of firms are cutting back on training expenditure.
Tracey adds: As part of my job I do a lot of travelling to our offices around the UK and in Australia. No two days are the same, and thats what I enjoy about it.
Tracey was also instrumental in setting up the companys graduate training scheme which was launched earlier in the year and has seen five of its new starters take up permanent positions in the firm.
Tracey said: Weve been so impressed with the success of the training scheme and the calibre of the graduates that were planning to expand it to include three intakes over the course of next year.
Well be recruiting in Newcastle and Birmingham for the next intake in December for a January start and were looking forward to seeing the talent out there.
