SKY FINANCE GRAD SCHEME AWARDED THE LARGE EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR AWARD
 
Sky has won the large employer of the year award for the second time at this years Chartered Institute of Management Accountants awards in London. The awards recognised people, teams and organisations who lead the way within the accountancy profession.
 
Commenting on the award, the judges said "This was a strong category but the judges agreed that Sky provided a commendable focus on developing first class trainees. They formulated a robust development structure to ensure that its finance professionals continue to extend themselves as their careers progress."
 
The Sky Finance scheme is a three year graduate programme, where candidates gain experience across a range of accountancy disciplines from financial reporting to management accounting.  It offers comprehensive training, scope for development and funding to gain a recognised professional qualification from CIMA. 
 
Speaking about the recent win, second-year Sky graduate Mike Martin said the award is a credit to the hard work the finance team put in every day. Its a fantastic achievement.  Skys finance scheme and the team behind it are completely committed to getting the best out of the graduates they employ. Financial analyst Jennifer Dickson who has also graduated from the scheme after said: I have found Sky a great place to work and study for the CIMA qualification. Sky gives you real opportunities to get involved in key projects and make an impact even at a graduate level. Its the attitude and values that make the difference.
 
Rob Kingston, a Finance Director at Sky and a product of the graduate scheme said, Were very proud of our award winning programme. It plays a critical role in nurturing talent and creating dynamic finance professionals that will lead our organisation in the future.
