The UKs largest sales development agency, CPM, has appointed Helen Wagstaff to the post of Head of Recruitment.  She will oversee  the recruitment team who hire over 500 permanent employees and 1,500 short term employees a year, across the companys UK business.
Helen Wagstaff joins CPM from recruitment outsourcing company Kenexa, for which she fulfilled the role of Talent Acquisition Manager, EMEA and APAC, at Verizon the global IT, security and communications company.
Says Wagstaff: Having gained lots of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) experience  Im really excited to have the opportunity of leading an in-house function.  Most particularly because of the nature of CPMs business and scope of the companys vast recruitment activity.
CPM provides highly skilled and trained people to conduct strategic and tactical sales exercises on behalf of such global brands as GSK, Mars and Microsoft. The companys heritage lies in field marketing, but it has grown and developed its business to offer a comprehensive number of contact solutions.
Staff are employed by CPM to undertake face-to-face, phone or web conversations with retailers and consumers on behalf of its clients.  Delivering over 300,000 face-to-face, 120,000 phone and 10,000 web contacts for its clients each week, these employees constitute a multi-skilled taskforce which executes campaigns tailored to each clients objectives.
Adds Wagstaff: CPM truly is a people business.  The companys performance in the market place is dictated by the quality of the staff employed.  Around 550 out of 600 staff are recruited on behalf of CPMs clients and will become ambassadors for their brands.  And beyond the essential priority of ensuring we hire and retain the best possible individuals to represent these brands, my immediate mission will be to increase the value of the Recruitment Departments service offering to the rest of the company Ill be aligning my team to adopt more of a business partnerning model."
There is an opportunity to review the departments commercial structure to see where we can become more efficient, while at the same time improving the candidates journey.
