National recruitment and business services organisation, HR GO plc, is celebrating the success of its first business conference arranged for Kent businesses entitled Achieving High Performance.

Almost 60 businesses from in and around the county of Kent attended the conference held at Chilston Park Manor House which was organised by HR GO plc and one if its subsidiary companies HR Ltd, an HR and Training Consultancy.

Guest speakers included Mark Shulman from London Law firm Cumberland Ellis LLP who advised the businesses on legal employment matters such as maintaining essential documentation to mitigate business risk and varying contracts to manage change successfully and to achieve and sustain optimum organisational performance.

Chris Harvey, Managing Director of HR GO plc, accompanied by Hugh Billot, Group HR Director, gave a frank and honest case study on their business and how the management team was able to turn around an extremely volatile financial situation into a business making record profits in 2010.

Joy Cross, HR Ltd Director, gave an extremely informative presentation to the attendees concerning the impact of the forthcoming Agency Workers Directive.

The conference ended with a drinks and canap reception where all the delegates had the opportunity to relax by the roaring log fires and network in the beautiful surroundings of Chilston Park.
