Leading IT recruiter gains membership of professional body
IT recruitment specialist Outsource UK has been awarded membership of the prestigious professional body APSCo the Association of Professional Staffing Companies.
Outsource, based in Swindon, is the largest privately-owned IT recruitment company in the South West and specialises in providing permanent, contract and interim IT personnel to a range of industries, from pharmaceutical to financial services.
To gain membership of APSCo, Outsource had to provide strict financial information, go through rigorous checks on references provided by clients and candidates, and demonstrate that it adheres to a strict code of practice.
APSCo is the professional body representing the interests of recruitment organisations. To its members it gives a commercial edge, business information, research, and acts as an influential lobbyist. To candidates and employers it provides a guarantee of excellence, best practice, quality, integrity and expertise. Membership of APSCo is evidence that members adopt a clear set of business standards and code of conduct.
Outsource Managing Director Paul Jameson said he was delighted that APSCo had given his company membership.
We regard this as a great endorsement of what we do here at Outsource UK, he said. That is, that we provide the highest level of service to all our clients and candidates alike. We have been in the business for nearly 20 year now and some of our clients have been with us from the beginning, which we take as further recommendation of how we go about business.
Ann Swain, CEO at APSCo, said: Outsource UK, and Paul Jameson in particular, will add great value to APSCo. Our organisation is synonymous with best practice and a very high code of conduct, and Outsource were able to demonstrate that they have the values, ethics and working practices that we look for in our members.
Membership for APSCo caps off an excellent year for Outsource, which saw them relocate to larger premises in Swindons historic railway works, to accommodate some ten new members of staff and to prepare for taking over other recruitment businesses.
Outsource was also awarded preferred partner status with one of the worlds leading managed service companies, Advantage XPO. The company is in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table of independent fast-growing companies and Paul Jameson is the current Wiltshire Businesss Businessperson of the Year.
