As the UKs job market recovers and business increases for recruiters, consultancies are ramping up hiring for themselves as well as their clients. However specialist marketing, creative and digital recruiter Firebrand Talent Search says that recruiters are losing clients by taking on people with a lack of industry knowledge.
Over the past couple of months weve seen more companies approaching us for help with their recruitment needs, as other agencies have been unable to fill their vacancies, explains Marc Ansell, Director of Europe at Firebrand. It seems that some recruiters are so in need of talent for themselves that they are recruiting consultants who dont have specialist industry knowledge however as this shows, that background is key to successful recruitment.
