Leading online research provider eDigitalResearch is helping the UKs leading hospitality recruitment website to further improve its attraction and engagement with both recruiters and jobseekers.
Totaljobs Group comprises seven recruitment job sites, which between them carry over 200,000 jobs, attracting over four million jobseekers and generating three million applications every month. Two of the groups sites are the UKs leading hospitality recruitment website, and its international job site which caters for global hospitality recruitment with an emphasis on the Middle-East. Both share experiences of using eDigitalResearch. and have previously used a number of online survey providers in the past, to help them find out from recruiters and jobseekers how they can add value and match employers to the right candidates. Previous systems used have not met their requirements for a variety of reasons, including a lack of control or flexibility to create customer surveys, and poor reporting capabilities.
Requiring a more collaborative and flexible approach, began using eDigitalResearch in 2008, and has subsequently been able to improve its recruiter profiling in terms of demographics, sub sectors served (such as hotel, restaurant, pub/bar, contract catering), size and location. It has then surveyed them on a regular basis on an array of topics.
Some surveys enable a deep understanding of the specific recruitment needs and challenges of the respective sectors and individual companies within them. Some are used to gather market intelligence to improve knowledge, attend networking events, introduce new services and other key strategies. Others are used to gauge and improve the usability of the site from a recruiter perspective.
Jobseekers are also regularly surveyed on subjects such as employment aspirations by brand, what other recruitment channels they use, topical employment issues and how satisfied they are with the experience.
Senior Marketing Executive Charanjeet Chugh, who co-manages recruiter marketing for and commented We have used eDigitalResearch for both recruiters and jobseekers projects for some time now, as the research often requires a dual perspective. The surveys we commission help us to position and as thought leaders within the hospitality market, and eDigitalResearch is great for creating customised surveys. The system is easy to use too, and we always have exceptional account management.
Aidan Murray, Senior Marketing Executive who co-manages jobseeker marketing for both job boards, adds Research is pivotal to understanding the needs our jobseekers who are looking to further their careers. If we didnt use eDigitalResearch, we would have to continuously use third party providers for planned and ad-hoc projects, which would be expensive and time consuming. Aidan continues eDigitalResearch allows us the flexibility to construct a variety of research, and the consultative advice provided by the team is always constructive and responsive.
