Steria appoints new member to Group Executive Committee Patricia Langrand to head up Business Development and Marketing
European IT services leader, Steria Group, has today announced the appointment of Patricia Langrand to Executive Vice President in charge of Business Development and Marketing for Steria Group. Reporting directly to Franois Enaud, Steria Group Chief Executive Officer, Patricia Langrand will become a member of the Group Executive Committee in January 2011.
Patricia Langrand is a 20-year veteran of the media and telecommunications industry, having worked in the private sector (Orange, Canal, France Telecom...), as well as for the French Government. In her role as Executive Vice President, Patricia will be responsible for developing Steria Groups solution portfolio and driving their implementation across the Groups geographies and clients segments. She will lead the Business Communities and Marketing teams at Group level.
Patricia, having worked for major firms, has a proven track-record in developing new business activities. Drawing on both her hands-on experience and view of the market, she represents an extremely strong addition to our Executive Committee, said Francois Enaud, CEO, Steria Group. Business Development and Marketing are at the heart of our growth strategy, so Patricia will hold a key role within the organisation in supporting us in our pursuit to win new market share.
Patricia added, Steria continues to lead the way in innovation and customer service, so as a member of the Executive Committee my objective is to extend its reach and drive the growth of the company in 2011 and beyond.
Patricias career began in 1988 at France Telecom, where she was promoted to Head of Group Strategic Marketing within four years. From there, in 1995, Patricia moved across to the public sector to work in the French Ministre de lconomie, des Finances et de lIndustrie. From 1999 to 2001, she held roles as New Technologies Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer of the Canal Group, the first pay TV operator in Europe. In 2002, Patricia was appointed Chief of Staff of Oranges Chairman and CEO. And from 2004 to 2008, she was the CEO of Orange Media, in charge of the Media and Entertainment activities worldwide, and member of the Orange Executive Committee. Patricia is Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Go Voyages and a member of the Board of Directors of France Tlvisions.
Patricia is a graduate of LEcole Polytechnique and ENST Tlcom (now TELECOM ParisTech).
