Stopgap win at the MARA awards

WIN Best Candidate Experience, Recruitment Innovation
On the 2nd December 2010, Londons Jumeriah Carlton Tower, Knightsbridge, hosted the inaugural Marketing & Advertising Recruitment (MARA) Awards. Stopgap, led by Claire Owen, walked away with two awards on the night: the much-coveted award for the Best Candidate Experience, as well as the award for Recruitment Innovation.
For 17 years, Stopgap has taken great pride in offering its clients and candidates a positively different experience of marketing recruitment. This ethos is core to its guiding principles, of which impeccable candidate care is paramount. Stopgap invests in a three-strong team of Candidate Care Executives, who ensure that every applicant for a Stopgap job receives a personalised phone call or email. Kirsty McSweeney, Stopgaps Senior Candidate Care Executive, has made over 11,000 phone calls since the team was set up last year.
Stopgap also picked up the award for Recruitment Innovation, following a successful piece of work with longstanding clients, Premier Foods, in which they were looking to fill five brand management positions. This comprised social media, branded advertising and a dedicated researcher and resulted in five successful placements.
