Winners of 2010 APSCo staffing industry awards announced at annual charity ball
 
The winners of the APSCo Staffing Industry Awards were announced on Friday November 26th at the 11th annual APSCo charity ball in aid of ChildLine. The ball was attended by over 625 guests at The Intercontinental in Hyde Park, London, with awards given in seven categories.
 
Entries for the APSCo Staffing Industry Awards were made by APSCo member companies and judged by an independent panel of experts. The judging panel was chaired by Les Clark, a former member of the APSCo executive committee and a well respected veteran of the recruitment industry, with over 30 years experience.
 
Judges for the Recruitment Company of the Year categories were: Derek McAllan, Partner at KPMG who heads up the firms recruitment sector practice, Philip McMullan, former Editor of Recruiter and Editor-in-chief of Recruitment Consultant, and Katie Folwell-Davies M&A Partner, from Deloittes recruitment practice.
 
Judges for Innovator and Recruitment Sector Service Provider of the Year awards were: Paul Saunders, former director of commercial finance at Lloyds TSB, Martin Reed, managing director of Thomas International and Godfrey Morrell an IT recruitment expert with over 25 years experience and founder of Abraxas (Now Randstad IT).
 
Ann Swain, APSCo Chief Executive, says: This years awards have been some of the most hotly contested yet with a record number of entries in all categories. The standard of the entries get higher every year and all entrants should feel immensely proud of the work they have put in, particularly considering what a tough year it has been for the recruitment sector.

Recruitment Company of the Year 100 million plus
 
In a very challenging year, this companys investment in training and staff development, along with a strengthening of operational processes and risk management, have underpinned their expansion into emerging markets  improving company performance across the board. 
 
Winner: NES Group The global technical, engineering, rail & IT recruitment specialist.

Recruitment Company of the Year 21 - 100 million
 
This companys sound business practices and real emphasis on developing talent right across the organisation impressed the judges again this year. For their commitment to demonstrating the right set of values and behaviours in the industry, this years winner is:
