2B Interface launches at Autosport International

Fabricating a new bespoke service for the motorsport industry

2B Interface, the broad-ranging staffing and recruitment agency providing manual, skilled, office and management personnel launched its bespoke service for the motorsports industry at Autosport International on the 13th and 14th of January at the NEC.

For the past six years, 2B Interface has supplied technicians including CNC operators, setters, programmers, GRP laminators, TIG welders, metal workers and fabricators within the shop fitting industry. With shortages in skilled labour in whole vehicle assembly, diversification within motorsport was an obvious choice for 2B Interface.

Managing Director and Founder, Beatrice Bartlay added, We want to grow the business in areas where there is a real need for our services and we were pleased to be the Official Supporter at the MIA Awards Dinner where we hosted the VIP Champagne Reception and presented the Service to the Industry Award. After six months of research and planning we decided to launch our service at Autosport International which has been described as Europes largest dedicated trade-only motorsport exhibition. It was a busy two days where we met with many interested people from different areas of the motorsport trade.

2B Interface prides itself on its personal service, providing the right people both from a technical and cultural fit. In order to understand and provide a bespoke service, the company offers a free audit to all its potential new clients.

Having grown the company by 200% in the last financial year and made the entire annual sales target in the first quarter of this year, 2B Interface is hoping to continue this success in the motorsport industry.

According to the Governments own figures, the size of the UK sports sector in general comprises over 67,000 businesses, employing over 600,000 people and responsible for an annual turnover of some 44.5 billion. The motorsports industry is one of the top ten most watched in the UK with high profile UK names such as Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button.

According to the Motorsport Industry Associations (MIA) National Survey of Motorsport Engineering and Services (MES) 2000, the annual turnover value of motorsport engineering and services (MES) to the UK economy was estimated to be approximately 4.6 billion and 2.9 billion of that was generated from motorsport engineering with 1.7 billion from motorsport services.
