Recruitment organisations must improve the quality and equality of their websites

Recruitment organisations must improve the quality and equality of their websites, says HR Equality & Diversity specialist

The recruitment industry must improve recruitment websites to reflect a true commitment by the sector to equality and diversity.

This is the main finding of a report out this week, aimed at provoking the thoughtful upgrading of recruitment websites.
Recruitment Equality Accessibility, Equality and Diversity on Recruitment Websites was published on 25 January 2011 by Anne Tynan, an HR Equality & Diversity specialist.  Over a three-month period, a cross-sectoral selection of 300 recruitment websites were screened and the results analysed.

Anne has enriched the report with her own recent experiences as a candidate she has turned the drudgery of job-hunting into a doubly productive way of expanding her own skills and knowledge, and contributing to equality of employment for all candidates.

Recruitment Equality provides an insight into the recruitment industrys standpoint on equality issues. To say that there is room for improvement could possibly prove to be one of the greatest understatements of 2011.
