Three senior hires give Archer Mathieson a flying start to 2011

Archer Mathieson has made a flying start to 2011 by hiring three new senior consultants as part of the Thames Valley-based recruitment firms continued fast-paced growth following chief executive Richard Wrights arrival last June. Adrian Penge, ex-Walker Hamill and Hoggett Bowers, joined Archer Mathiesons finance search practice last week, alongside Lucy Martin, previously with Michael Page International, who will bolster the firms HR interim team. This week also sees the arrival of Bill Paris, an experienced HR search consultant, who joins from Digby Morgan. Byron Tarboton has also been promoted to head up the firms research department charged with expanding, and further developing, the firms internal research capability.

Richard Wright said:

All three of these new people are high performers from larger recruitment firms. Attracting just one of them to Archer Mathieson would have been quite a coup, so the fact that we managed to hire all three speaks volumes about how they view the firms potential.

At Walker Hamill for eight years until 2007, Adrian Penge was part of the highly successful and well regarded Commerce & Industry team, responsible for recruiting senior finance professionals on behalf of leading private equity and FTSE250 firms.  During this period the business grew to 60 consultants and went through two successful private equity transactions. Latterly, he spent three years with the finance division of Hoggett Bowers, establishing its CFO practice in the North.

Lucy Martin was a top revenue-generating consultant in the UK HR practice of Michael Page in 2008. She started the firms interim HR service and developed its public sector HR market in the Thames Valley area, becoming one of the top billing consultants in their 50-strong team based in Weybridge.
Bill Paris background includes eight years in HR management roles at Fujitsu/ICL and 15 years in recruitment. Most recently he was with HR recruitment specialist Digby Morgan where his clients included some of the biggest global names in telecommunications, software and technology services sectors.
