CMA recruits five staff on the back of strong financial year

CMA Financial Recruitment has started the new year on the back of one of its most successful 12 months after the top rated financial recruitment agency recorded a 35% increase in turnover in 2010.

The growth has enabled the company to recruit a further five staff in the last few months with three new starters in January, as it looks to position itself in an increasingly buoyant market.

Having fought its way through the recession, CMA has been reinvesting in the business since late 2009 to help spring board it through 2010. And it looks like it has paid off. With a 35-strong team across offices in Bournemouth, Southampton, Havant and Basingstoke, the consultancy is attracting excellent candidates placing them with SMEs, blue chip organisations and accountancy firms across the South.

There was more good news for CMA, with profits for the year in permanent placements up 48% and profit from temporary contracts increased by 15%. CMA also experienced an increase of 25% in job volumes and placed 50% more candidates in 2010 than the year before.

Richard Dibden, Sales Director of Financial Recruitment, said: We had a very successful 2010 on the back of a challenging 12-18 months. We are optimistic about the way the recruitment sector is going. We posted excellent results last year and with more hard work we expect to see continued growth in 2011. CMA is entering a dynamic growth phase and we are delighted to welcome the new recruits on board.

The new starters include Denise Papadatos who has joined the Havant office with over 20 years recruitment experience, the previous 10 years at Robert Half International.

Nikki Walker will also be based in the Havant office but will cover Portsmouth and Southampton areas in the Public Practice division. She has spent the last 10 years with Hays, prior to that Nikki trained in accountancy within the profession.

Isabel Hall joined the Bournemouth office in January with extensive recruitment experience including two years at Hudson Cooper. Zoe Moore also started in the Southampton office in January after five years working at Tate as Senior Recruitment Consultant.

Finally Kirsty Shakespeare joined the Basingstoke office in January. Kirsty recently completed a Masters degree before gaining six months recruitment experience locally.
