In the hiring line with recruitment agency Rubicon People

A recruitment agency in Dorset laid on corporate entertainment with a difference as a thank you to clients for another successful year.

They took part in an adventure-packed evening of paintballing at a 15,000 sq ft playing area set in the atmospheric, smoke-filled backdrop of lawless Mega City.

The event was organised by Poole-based Rubicon People, which supplies helping hands to over 100 firms across the South, and involved 40 guests.

Teams of law enforcers and bad boyz and bad girlz pitted their wits against each other, eliminating opponents by hitting them with exploding, high-speed paintball markers.

Lauren Page, one of Rubicon Peoples recruitment consultants, said: We laid on the entertainment as a memorable, active way of thanking our clients for their custom, making another record hiring year.

There were a few puns about business and firing, which was understandable given the nature of the game, but our line of work is, thankfully, about hiring. Everyone enjoyed themselves, with plenty of team-building going on, and it was a chance to let our collective hair down.

The event was held at Megapaintball in Bournemouth.

Rubicon People has 20 staff at its recruitment centre and headquarters in Pooles High Street.

The firm, established in 1982, recently made headline news by launching a mobile recruitment wagon in the first initiative of its kind in the country.

Rubicon People supplies temporary and permanent placements for industry, commerce and engineering, including well-known businesses and organisations, mainly in Dorset.

They include food brands such as Jordans Ryvita in Poole, Dorset Cereals in Dorchester, tea blender Spicers in Ferndown, Clipper in Beaminster, Olives Et Al in Sturminster Newton and The Watercress Company near Dorchester.
