New accolade for specialist IT recruitment firm
Leading IT recruitment firm Outsource UK has received a prestigious accreditation from its industrys governing body one of only four IT specialists to do so.
The Swindon-based firm has attained Audited status with the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).
All its processes and practices were scrutinised by the RECs auditor to ensure it was fully compliant with the requirements of the Employment Agencies Act, the Employment Business Act, the RECs Code of Professional Conduct and general business practice.
Outsource UK Managing Director Paul Jameson said he was delighted to receive the accreditation. The audit was very vigorous but it has to be, he said. We were delighted with the outcome, which we feel shows that the way we do business is head and shoulders above many others in our industry.
Just 54 companies within the UK have the REC accreditation and, of those, only four are IT recruitment specialists, including Outsource which provides permanent, contract and interim IT personnel to a range of industries nationwide, from pharmaceuticals to financial services.
The REC represents the UKs 19.7 billion private recruitment industry and Outsource has been a corporate member since 1996. In total, the REC has 3,674 companies as corporate members
The REC audit commented on Outsources Recruitment and Training Manager, Anna Stretch. Anna was fairly new to the company then, but expressed how keen she was to introduce structured training programmes for new starters and more formal training routes for all staff.  They encourage staff to become REC qualified and supported the training.
Outsource recognises that its staff are its most important asset, so appointed Anna as Recruitment and Training manager to foster the team environment and aid career progression. All employees receive regular training in relation to their needs with all recruitment staff being encouraged to obtain the REC recruitment practice certifications.
Kevin Green, the RECs Chief Executive, said: Congratulations to Outsource UK for achieving audited status which shows they are performing to the highest standards of good practice to which all our members continuously strive.
The REC Audited status is recognised and welcomed by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS), further highlighting its importance in establishing best practice in the recruitment industry.
Outsource can add the accolade to its growing list. Earlier this month, it attained ninth place in the Recruiter magazines Fast 50 league table. Outsource was also awarded preferred partner status with one of the worlds leading managed service companies, Advantage XPO. The company is in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table of independent fast-growing companies and Paul Jameson is the current Wiltshire Businesss Businessperson of the Year.
