JOBSHOP SPONSORS SPECIAL WOMAN AWARD

JOBSHOP SPONSORS SPECIAL WOMAN AWARD

Poole based recruitment company, Jobshop UK, is once again sponsoring the Special Woman Award at the 2011 Business Women Awards, which are being held at the Langtry Manor Hotel on the 19th May to showcase the success of local business women.  The Special Woman Award recognises a woman who has overcome obstacles to succeed in business or who has dedicated her business efforts to the community.

This is the second year that Jobshop UK has sponsored this category, which the company believes helps recognise and inspire women in these turbulent times.

Commenting, Frances Miles, Director Jobshop UK said:  Last year we discovered the most amazing women doing the most incredible things.  Now the search is on to find the next Special Woman.

The 2010 winner was Nikila Newman, founder of Infectious Dance Academy.  Nikila established the charity in 2003 in Turlin Moor with the purpose of addressing the needs of local teenagers and persuading them to do something positive with their time through Street Dance.

Concluding, Frances Miles said:  Nikila is an exceptional role model, inspiring her students to become the very best they can.  This year we are looking for an equally inspirational woman who will encourage other woman to overcome adversity and start a business venture they can run on their own terms.
