Event consultant Sheena Hobbs overcame stiff competition from 40 other marketing, media and communications finalists to be announced as Overall Freelancer of the Year 2011 by Xchangeteam. An evening of canaps and conversations complimented the annual Freelancer of the Year Awards ceremony held at The Gallery Soho, London. Not only was Sheena awarded the overall winner of the evening but also took home the trophy in her specialised category of Events.

Speaking at the event John Brazier, MD of PCG the voice of freelancers in the UK, emphasised the importance of freelancers in the marketplace. The level of entry this year was exceptionally high and it is great to see so many freelancers making the finals.
