Hays Japan launches Shinjuku office First and only foreign recruitment company to operate at three locations in Japan and offer direct Shinjuku service
Hays Specialist Recruitment Japan K.K. (Hays Japan) today announces the launch of its Shinjuku office, as part of Hays Japans continuing growth and as a reflection of its confidence in the local job market. With this launch, Hays Japan now operates in Akasaka and Shinjuku in Tokyo, and covers the Kansai region from its Osaka office. Hays Japan is the first and only foreign recruitment company to operate three Japan offices and offer direct Shinjuku service.
The Shinjuku office accommodates a bi-lingual team of thirty-five consultants, and is headed by one of Hays Japans most experienced senior managers, Adrian Jones. Initially, the Shinjuku team will offer specialisms spanning Accountancy and Finance, Sales and Marketing, IT, Office Professionals and Human Resources, and is set to develop to meet additional needs.
Hays Japan Representative Director Christine Wright said, The Shinjuku launch really reflects Hays Japans expansion and the diversification of our client base. Local companies are focused on outbound growth and we see increased demand for qualified specialists among local employers, with a particular focus on highly qualified bilingual candidates.
Hays Japan chose Shinjuku as its third location to meet increasing demand from existing clients and to better pursue opportunities for further expansion within Tokyo. From Shinjuku, Hays directly serves the needs of clients and candidates in the Western part of the city - spanning Shinjuku, Yokohama and Kawasaki. The office also offers access to Shinjuku Station, which is one of the busiest train stations in the world, used by millions everyday.
The Shinjuku launch is representative of Hays worldwide prioritizing operating as close to clients and candidates as possible in order to best meet their needs. Using this model in Sydney, Hays expanded from a single office to ten locations over a ten year period. Further locations are anticipated in Japan.
Hays Japan celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2011, and has seen impressive growth. In the past year alone, Hays has expanded to offer three new specialist business units (Legal, Office Professionals, Supply Chain), for a total of twelve. Hays Japan is the only foreign recruitment company to operate specialist business units composed of professionals with experience and expertise in the sectors they cover. Specialisms in Japan now include Accountancy & Finance, Banking, Finance Technology, Information Technology, Human Resources, Hays Resource Management, Legal, Office Professionals, Pharma, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Property.
Worldwide, Hays operates a database of upwards of 3 million professionals and for the year ended 30 June 2010 placed around 50,000 candidates into permanent jobs and around 180,000 people into temporary assignments.
