Leading Job Board Celebrates as Monthly Users Top 1 Million
Year-on-year traffic up 30% as welcomes record 1.2 million unique visitors
The UKs largest network of regional job boards today announced it had broken previous records for web traffic and received more than 1,200,000 unique users on its sites during March., which specialises in offering over 300 regionalised job boards across the UK, has seen unprecedented traffic growth as demand for new roles among the UKs workforce increases in 2011.
Following its best ever year for web traffic in 2010, during which users of its sites increased by more than 30 per cent compared with 2009, also confirmed that traffic for March 2011 was 67 per cent higher than March last year.
The job board also confirmed that month-on-month traffic had also increased by 24 per cent from February 2011 to March 2011., which predicted Tuesday 11 January would be this years busiest day for online job searches, has witnessed a surge of visitors to its sites as record-breaking cold weather subsides and spring continues.
The job board network believes increased positivity about the state of the UKs jobs market is driving more people to search online for new roles, where previously they have been content to stay put.
The network of job boards, which stretches from the Highlands of Scotland to Cornwall, enables jobseekers to search within a specific geographic area, eschewing jobs that fall outside of their catchment area and making searches more relevant to their individual needs.
Mark Riley, Marketing Manager at, said: We are delighted to have broken the one million unique monthly users mark for the first time and to announce record unique users on our sites and this is testament to the growth and appeal of our job boards among jobseekers.
With such a big increase on traffic levels from last year, we are confident that 2011 will be another record-breaking year for our network of regional job boards and we look forward to breaking through the 2 million unique monthly users for the first time during the course of this year.
