randstad appoints mark bull to NEW ROLE OF CEO UK AND MIDDLE EAST

Randstad, the worlds second largest recruitment and HR services company, has appointed Mark Bull to the new role of CEO of the UK and the Middle East.

As of 1 April, Mark will be responsible for all of Randstads operating companies and support functions in the UK and the Middle East, and will drive forward the companys strategy and operations in those territories, reporting to Brian Wilkinson, Executive Board Member. Mark has worked with Randstad for 17 years, most recently as Managing Director of Randstad Construction, Property and Engineering (CP&E) in the UK. He will remain head of CP&E until Owen Goodhead, currently head of CP&E in Australia, assumes the role in July.
In addition, Vaishali Sachdev has been appointed as UK Marketing Director. She will succeed Colin Downing at the start of May and joins from Randstad Holding in the Netherlands.

Brian Wilkinson, Executive Board Member of Randstad, said: Randstad has an exceptional senior talent pool and we are delighted to make these internal appointments. We are very pleased with the development of the companys UK strategy and 95 per cent of UK sales in the last financial quarter came from our Randstad branded operating companies. The appointment of Mark to the new role will enable us to build on this success and he will also drive forward our business in the Middle East.

Owen has created a strong platform for Randstad CP&E in Australia and we look forward to him developing our business in the UK.
Colin Downing played a critical role in building Randstads UK brand in the last year, in particular through developing a high profile national marketing campaign. Vaishali has a strong marketing background having had senior roles at leading corporates and consulting organisations, and we are excited about the opportunity to build the Randstad brand platform further.
