Recruiter shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year award

Tony Goodwin, Managing Director of the global recruitment brand, Antal International, has been shortlisted for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

As the first and only truly global award of its kind, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses, recognising them through regional, national and global awards programmes in more than 135 cities in 50 countries.

Goodwin has been nominated for his work with his business, Antal International. Founded in 1993, Goodwin was among the first to set up a professional and managerial recruitment business in Eastern Europe, one that has since expanded to encompass 90 offices in 33 countries.
In addition to his success with Antal, Goodwin co-authored How They Blew It, one of the fastest selling business books of 2010.

Tony Goodwin says: Being shortlisted for such a prestigious award is a real landmark moment for me. To come from setting up Antal International in my back bedroom to being named a potential Entrepreneur of the Year feels really fantastic.
Goodwin, and other nominees, will be judged by fellow entrepreneurs and business people, including Nick Jenkins, Chairman, Moonpig.com Limited and David Whileman, UK Growth Capital team leader, 3i, who will be looking out for the elusive E-Factor, a cocktail of entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, strategic direction, team leadership, financial performance, national or global impact and corporate social responsibility
