partner in Italy
International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has elected Milan-based Luca Capone as a partner in its employment, pensions and benefits (EPB) practice.
Nicholas Squire, head of the global EPB practice, said: 'Luca has been instrumental in the development of our Italian EPB practice over the past few years and we are delighted to have such a talented lawyer joining the partnership. He and his team have already made a significant contribution to the firm and will continue to help drive our practice forward".
He added: "We view Italy as a key jurisdiction and the addition of a partner in our Milan office is also an important step in the expansion of our pan-European offering. It means we will be even better equipped to help our clients tackle their most complex HR and benefits challenges across Europe'.
Luca Capone said: 'I am very grateful to my team for the hard work done over the last couple of years in developing our practice. My appointment will definitely bolster our Italian EPB practice and strengthen our international service offering, which, as people issues become increasingly globalised, is key to our clients' success'.20
