Greystone Staffing CEO charged with tax fraud

The CEO of two Massapequa-based staffing firms has been arrested for stealing almost $500,000 in tax benefits to pay alimony and child support to his ex-wife and children.

Phillip Missirlian, the CEO of Greystone Staffing and Greystone Healthcare Staffing of NY, allegedly failed to remit $496,850 of employees withholding taxes for tax years 2007 and 2009.

He then allegedly used that money to pay child support to his ex-wife. Missirlian and his two companies were charged with criminal tax fraud and failure to pay tax. Missirlian faces up to 15 years in prison, while each company faces fines up to $10,000 if convicted.
