Initio offers internship to four students at Brooklands College

Brendan Flood, Chief Executive Officer of Initio International, has offered four lucky BTEC Business students at Brooklands College the opportunity to become a real apprentice.

On offer was the chance of a two week internship. The students will be exposed to all aspects of the business, from working on the financial side, to having personal coaching with the managing
directors.

Thirteen hopeful students submitted their CVs, with eight students getting through to the second round interviews, which whittled the candidates down to just four. The final four students were
then invited to Initio International in London, where they took part in interviews with the Chief Executive Officer and the managing directors. The four candidates then sat waiting in the boardroom, expecting the famous youre fired! to be delivered to all but one of the candidates.

The students impressed the interview panel so much, that they were all offered an internship in the summer, with Brendan not allowing any of these young talents to escape his grasp without first
contributing to his company.

The internships will commence from mid-June, with a report from each candidate as to what they have learnt during their time at the company being delivered to the board of directors on the final day of their placements. Steve Varman, Curriculum Leader for BTEC Business at Brooklands College Ashford, said I am delighted that all the students rose to the challenge put in front of them. The four
successful candidates will have an opportunity to learn a lot in a dynamic multinational business.
