Prospects.ac.uk - most valuable site for graduate jobseekers

New research has reported that prospects.ac.uk is the most useful graduate careers website and with almost one million unique users every month (ABCe January 11), it's a "must have" site for advertisers targeting this niche market.

The latest High Fliers figures show 42% of visitors from the top 30 higher education institutions find prospects.ac.uk "very useful".

Twenty five per cent of all UK students and graduates, meanwhile, are registered for email and SMS services with My Prospects, whilst Prospects Directory, which enjoys 100% penetration of all UK higher education institutions (HEIs), is read by a third of all finalists including 27% of students at the top 30 HEIs2.

Prospects Directory editorial content is being revamped for 11.
Forging a closer alliance with prospects.ac.uk, sector information is aligned with the Industry Insight pages online, providing essential information on working in a wide range of sectors and helping to develop more knowledgeable candidates for employers.

Chris Rea, head of the employer business unit at Graduate Prospects explains: "Useful, candid and insightful content is the reason people visit a website time and time again, which is why we are continually listening to what the market wants and responding. It's good to hear that prospects.ac.uk is clearly the most valuable site around for graduate jobseekers.

"Prospects Directory is not restricted to the top 30 HEIs, but is used by a third of all finalists via 160 careers services and 40 national recruitment fairs. Because the Directory package includes 12-month profiles on prospects.ac.uk, advertising in our flagship title is driven by the power of the UK's biggest and busiest graduate careers site."

Les Waters, careers advisor at the University of Cambridge adds:
"Prospects Directory is one of the 'must have' publications for finalists and a useful career choice tool for those in earlier years who are looking at the graduate employment market. Nearly a thousand copies leave our shelves each year."

Graduate Prospects' unique partnership with the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) means that much of its content is generated by qualified graduate careers professionals, ensuring careers advice and guidance is always accurate and current.

Margaret Dane, chief executive at AGCAS says: "AGCAS, representing and supporting university careers services, has a unique relationship with Graduate Prospects that allows tailored careers information to be developed and delivered directly to students and graduates through Prospects' products and services and via prospects.ac.uk."
