DRIVER HIRE RECRUIT FOR GROWTH

Leading transport and logistics specialist recruiter, Driver Hire, is recruiting more staff to keep pace with current trading and expected growth. Following a strong performance in 2010/11 when revenue from its UK network of offices increased by 22% to 70M, the company has enjoyed a more than satisfactory start to the new financial year.

As a result its just announced two additions to its National Accounts team. Joining from Hays International Healthcare is Alisdair Dunphy who takes over the role of National Sales Manager. Also new to the team is graduate Kam Gosal (Junior Account Manager).

Another key business aim is expansion of its Midlands office network. With this in mind, Andrew Johnson has been appointed to the newly created role of Midlands Regional Development Manager. Andrew is a recruitment professional, having worked in the industry for 17 years, specialising in staff for logistics, supply chain and manufacturing.

Meanwhile, James Willerton has been appointed manager of Driver Hire Craven. After gaining hands-on experience running his own recruitment company, most recently James was a business advisor with Business Link.

Commenting on the appointments, Driver Hires Chief Executive, Chris Chidley said: National Accounts continues to be an important engine of growth within our business, hence our decision to add further strength and experience to the team. Last year it contributed 20% to our annual turnover and represented 40% of annual growth. Im very optimistic for the year ahead with our mix of blue chip national customers and local SMEs continuing to drive our office network forward to further success.

The UKs largest specialist supplier, Driver Hire provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If theyre short of staff perhaps because of illness or holidays Driver Hire will supply them with a suitable replacement.
