GPW Gives Helping Hand to Rising Sports Star.

GPW Gives Helping Hand to Rising Sports Star.
St Helens based recruitment firm GPW is giving a helping hand to local golfer James Robinson, a rising sports star.
The sponsorship deal, which was brokered by golf enthusiast chairman Graham Worsley, will mean that GPW clients get the chance to swap strokes with James Robinson who is tipped for the top.
Billinge-born James Robinson is the latest St Helens sporting hero to be supported by GPW.
Backing from companies such as GPW is vital to me as my career goes from strength to strength.  Touring can be expensive so sponsorship is crucial to ensure I have the funds to progress to the next tournament, wherever it may be.  It is great that a St Helens firm like GPW is supporting me in my career.
As an amateur James won various junior championships.  He was selected for the England Under 21 squad in 2008 and then, in 2009, was promoted to the England Squad. That same year he won the prestigious Lytham Trophy at Royal Lytham Golf Club, being the first Lancashire lad to win for 23 years. He also made his debut for England in the Home Internationals at Hillside Golf Club and finished on the winning team.
At the end of 2010 James entered European Tour Qualifying School and progressed through all 3 stages to gain a European Challenge Tour playing card for 2011.
Chairman of GPW Recruitment, Graham Worsley commented,
Being a huge fan of golf I am very excited to have James on board.  Im keen to get him out on the fairway to see what pointers he can give me.  Im sure clients of GPW look forward to the same privilege as James has kindly agreed to do a few sessions with some of our key clients.  We wish James the best of luck in the remainder of the 2011 European Challenge Tour.
