ReThink Recruitment invests in brand new CMI qualification specifically designed for the recruitment industry

ReThink Recruitment (ReThink), the business and technology staffing company, has announced that all of its team leaders are to study towards a brand new qualification from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) specifically designed for the recruitment industry.
As part of its increased investment in staff training and development, ReThink has also launched a training academy programme. The academy takes trainees through a fully paid six month training programme working alongside senior consultants to maximise their chances of becoming a successful recruiter .
Michael Bennett, Director at ReThink, says: We received over 1,500 applications earlier this year for our academy programme which includes modules specifically tailored for our business and consultants at the more junior end of the market. We have already employed ten successful trainees and have plans to hire an additional ten later this year.
The Certificate in First Line Management was launched in partnership with the CMI in May 2011. The CMI is the only chartered body in the UK that awards management and leadership qualifications and  is an internationally recognised qualification. 
Michael Bennett, comments: We think it is vital that those clients looking to recruit have confidence in the integrity and professionalism of their supplier.
We are determined to take a strong leadership role in professionalising the industry. We believe this course will ensure our consultants will really stand out from the crowd as being fully committed to delivering the highest levels of service at all times. 
We are delighted that all of our team leaders have signed up to the course. This is a very serious commitment as we expect the course will take a minimum of eighteen months to complete.
Our aim is to provide our staff with the best platform to develop their professional credentials and ultimately further their careers. The qualification will also help promote the recruitment industry as a professional business.
ReThink has allocated a budget of approximately 100,000 for all staff training and development and is working with Lander Associates to deliver this programme.
Says Michael Bennett: We want our consultants to be able to advise their clients often at a senior level on a broad range of topics such as legislation on agency workers or market trends. Structured training and development programmes are therefore key.
