SEARCH CONSULTANCY SET TO EXPAND IN ABERDEEN AS NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTED

SEARCH CONSULTANCY SET TO EXPAND IN ABERDEEN AS NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTED

Search Consultancy the 500-strong UK recruitment company has unveiled Kim Hunter as the new associate director of its Aberdeen office, as the consultancy outlined its ambitions for growing its market share in the north east.

Hunter, who has 17 years recruitment experience, has taken up the director role to seize the opportunities existing within the buoyant Aberdeen recruitment market, targeting growth sectors such as oil and gas servicing, shipping logistics, finance and manufacturing.

In the new role, Hunter will also be tasked with increasing the visibility of Search locally, building the brands reputation amongst existing clients and prospects, and attracting new consultants to double the office headcount over the next year.

Aberdeen is key to Searchs Scottish expansion, with the consultancy focused on growing the business by 20 per cent over the next year.  Attracting new talent across its five sites, the company is continuing to invest in its operations to capitalise on the growth opportunities within the Scottish recruitment market.

Commenting on her appointment, Kim Hunter said:

We have a clear vision for growing the Search brand in Aberdeen and Im looking forward to leading the division into this exciting new phase.

The recruitment market in the north east is massively buoyant at present and our skills and experience make us well placed to meet the needs of prospective employers, particularly in the energy sector.

Simone Lockhart, managing director of Search Consultancy in Scotland said:

Kim has been with Search for over five years, and her proven track record during that time made her the obvious choice to lead our Aberdeen expansion.

Weve steadily built a strong client base since opening in Aberdeen in 2005, however this director role has been created to ensure our focus is firmly on maximising business in the sectors where we know there is potential.  Were encouraged by the opportunities in the north east, and with Kim at the helm, Im confident well be able to convert these as we increase our presence in Aberdeen.

Current specialisms handled from Searchs Aberdeen location include oil and gas, technical, office services, industrial, renewables and hospitality and catering, with the site recently adding HR and legal, finance and accountancy and sales and marketing to its offering.
