Top 10 key priorities for senior executives when seeking a role

Company stability now ranked in top 4, say headhunters

New figures compiled by InterExec, the Confidential Agent for executives seeking packages over 200k, have revealed the top 10 key priorities for senior executives when they are looking for a new position.

The InterExec research surveyed more than 100 headhunters across the UK and asked them to name the top 5 key priorities for senior executives when they are looking for a new role.

The traditional key priorities of salary and job satisfaction topped the poll. However, job responsibilities, the stability of the company and share options all made it into the top 7:

Kit Scott-Brown, managing director of InterExec, commented: I think it is unsurprising that salary and job satisfaction are still deemed to be key factors for senior executives when they are looking for that next role, as traditionally they have always been very important. However, it is interesting to see company stability also high up in the rankings, and I think that todays volatile economy has had a lot to do with this. With this, senior executives are understandably concerned since the credibility of their own career history is so closely linked to the track record of their employer.
