Comment from about 50% of employers reducing their recruitment costs

Research published today has found that more than half of employers have reduced their recruitment costs in the past year, or are currently doing so. The research from XpertHRreinforces the feedback from companies on, a revolutionary new portal that lets employers advertise jobs and interview candidates for free.

Tony Wilmot, Founder of www.staffbay.comsaid “Over the last 18 months we have seen a vast amount of employers moving away from traditional recruitment methods and taking recruitment in house, to become smarter with their budgets. Money available for recruitment has been squeezed and therefore HR departments are looking for new, innovative and cost effective ways of hiring staff without escalating recruitment bills.

“Despite budgets being squeezed, employers are still looking to take on new staff, therefore it’s important that recruitment becomes smarter for them, aiding the employment market and encouraging businesses to continue to hire.”

Only paying a single flat fee, of &pound300 or &pound500, when a position has been accepted, www.staffbay.comhas seen a number of large employers turning to the site in order to avoid the average &pound4,500 cost for each permanent position filled through a recruitment agency. Employers such as, Porsche, DeVere and The Carphone Warehouse  are already registered on the site taking advantage of the thousands of jobseekers.
