GOTPEOPLE LAUNCHES IN WATFORD

GOTPEOPLE LAUNCHES IN WATFORD

gotpeople, a new recruitment agency with the backing of a top 60 national recruitment firm and yet the in-depth regional knowledge and flexibility of a local company, is officially opening in Watford on Tuesday 12 July.

The second Jark Joint Venture in the UK gotpeople will be run by Mary Cox, a successful recruitment specialist with 15 years’ experience and understanding of the area’s local businesses and their specific requirements.

gotpeople is a multi-functional agency supplying staff to the driving, industrial, catering and commercial sectors in Watford and the surrounding areas, encompassing Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex. Mary Cox comments: “We have designed the business to cater to the region’s specific business requirements and geography.  Driving, industrial and catering will be a major part of the business due to our proximity and strong background in these sectors. These sectors will shortly be joined by commercial recruitment. We’re looking to revive and re-inspire the local workforce by providing a quality and reliable recruitment solution and in turn boost local business.”

gotpeople is not a franchise but the second in a series of national joint ventures, which aim to give recruitment entrepreneurs the practical and financial support they need to launch their own business. By combining the enthusiasm, entrepreneurship and vision the individuals have for their industry together with local knowledge you produce a winning combination, according to Jark Joint Ventures chairman John Buckman.

When setting up the Jark Joint Ventures initiative John, also the joint founder of Jark plc, felt the best way he could help the recruitment industry recover from the recession and support its talent was to take away most of the stress associated with starting up a company. He comments: “I want to give entrepreneurs such as Mary the chance to be entrepreneurial and not get bogged down by the day-to-day processes that can stand in the way of their success. By concentrating on sales and development our Joint Ventures have the opportunity to outperform their competitors. Being linked to Jark will enhance opportunities at national level, without losing focus on being successful locally.”

Mary continues: “My face will be familiar to those working locally in recruitment despite the fact I’ve just returned from a three year sabbatical travelling the world. I’m hoping my timing will coincide with an upturn in the industry. Visiting more than 30 countries has provided me with the opportunity to observe how the recruitment process works in each country and I’ll be putting all the things I’ve seen work particularly well into practice in my own agency. gotpeople will combine local with an international twist.”
