GPA Procurement Celebrates 21 Years Of Procurement Recruitment Success

GPA Procurement - the leading procurement recruitment specialist - celebrated 21 years as the leading procurement recruitment expert this week by re-launching as an independent recruitment consultancy.

GPA ended its partnership with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply earlier this year in order to expand the business and seize new opportunities in the market. GPA has invested in updating its brand to ensure that both clients and candidates receive a superior recruitment service and by developing strategies based on an in depth understanding of procurement and its significance to the wider business world.

Originally set up by HR professional Gail Pyrah in 1990, the business is now directed by a mixed team of recruitment specialists, procurement experts and HR practitioners.

“Over the last twenty one years, we have seen a large amount of change in the world of procurement. Procurement executives have an even more significant role to play today than ever before and the way a company acquires procurement resources can mean the difference between a very healthy or sick organisation.” said Gail Pyrah, Managing Director.

“We have been actively involved in the careers and businesses of thousands of procurement professionals, helping to shape some significant procurement teams.  We have placed candidates into Heads of Procurement roles and placed other candidates into organisations where they have subsequently gone on to become Head of Procurement.  We invest both time and resource in the recruitment process to ensure that we provide a quality service to our clients.  Part of this investment includes the careful selection of our own staff – we have a team that has substantial experience in all aspects of recruitment and procurement allowing us to respond to the specialist needs in the sector, especially in times of rapid change.”

GPA Procurement’s new brand includes a & lsquo;refreshed’ logo, website and corporate identity and a continued investment in developing the company in order to provide the best in procurement talent.
