IQ Resourcing: Part of InterQuest Group Plc

See no evil, hear no evil, speak the truth!

As part of their on-going expansion strategy, InterQuest the specialist IT recruitment Group is launching IQ Resourcing to target the retail sector.

IQ Resourcing – formerly known as InterQuest UK - is a specialist company offering IT staffing support to the UK retail, etail and leisure sector. Founded in 1995, they have seen the sector change widely with many new developments in recent years. In 2010 Mr. David Wingate was appointed as Divisional Manager and since has grown the company focusing their effort into technical IT niches for retail.

Although there are still conflicting messages coming out of the retail sector as a whole there are many strong pockets of activity with some retailers reporting strong sales figures despite the uncertain economic climate. “Some people are set on creating a & lsquo;Doomsday’ feel when reporting on the retail market. Yes, certain sectors of the market have seen a decline in sales or slow times but which industry hasn’t in the recent economy? What is not being reported is the increase in demand for online, ecommerce and multimedia requirements within the retail sector,” says Wingate.

IQ Resourcing has seen a month-on-month trend appearing in demand for specialist skilled IT experts. A number of companies have seen exponential growth from sales through the internet, mobile and other media based devices. With the internet becoming more popular, especially with the recent rise of new web technologies, and with people having less time to spend on the high street lots of retailers are putting high-street growth plans on hold and focusing on the other channels. IQ Resourcing reports a growth in skilled roles such as: mobile, integrated EPOS systems, ERP, ecommerce and even television multimedia.

“The industry as a whole is buoyant by nature. We can see that it is on the up just by looking at the likes of John Lewis, Jessops and Sports Direct who have reported preliminary pre-tax profits up by a massive 32.7% to &pound135.5m” said Wingate.
