JOBSHOP UK ANNOUNCES PRESTIGIOUS & lsquo;TEMP OF THE YEAR’ AWARD
Jobshop UK has announced that Julie Scott has been presented with the prestigious
& lsquo;Temp of the Year’ award.
Proving that ’temping’ can often mean longer term placements within the same company, Julie was recommended for the award after becoming an invaluable member of the Pensions Department of Atkins Bland Independent Financial Advisers of Ferndown, where she first started temping to cover maternity leave in 2008.
“I was made redundant from my job of six years in March 2008,” explained Julie. “I immediately signed up with Jobshop, who had impressed me when they came to talk to us about themselves during the redundancy stages, and who I knew had previously provided us with excellent temps. By May, I started an assignment at Atkins Bland and I’ve been there ever since!”
“Everyone is really friendly and as well as being serious about our work and knuckling down, we also have a bit of a laugh and a natter. We socialise on occasions too and have even started & lsquo;Come Dine With Me’ dinner parties – hangovers all round!! I couldn’t wish for a better bunch of people to work with and I suppose that is why the last 3 years have just flown by!”
Julie, whose husband, and sixteen year old son keep her busy when at home, has gained invaluable office and administration experience since she left college and started work in 1980. All these skills have been invaluable for her role in supporting the Pensions Department of Atkins Bland, where she has come to be a popular and respected member of the team.
Terrie Pay, P.A. to Simon Cox, Head of Pensions Department, enthused, “Julie works on a job share basis which has worked very effectively. She is very hard working and as well as her numerous admin duties, Julie is always offering assistance and keen to help. She has fitted in very well with the Pensions Team and everyone at Atkins Bland are very happy that Julie has won Temp of the Year, as she fully deserves this.”
As recognition of her achievement, Jobshop UK Director, Frances Miles, and Jayne Harding, Senior Consultant of Jobshop’s Temporary Division, presented Julie with a bouquet of flowers, restaurant voucher and a framed certificate.
