Larson On Target for Expansion

North Yorkshirerecruiter Larson Group is on target to achieve ambitious growth plans that will see its head count rise to 20 by the end of this year.

The Harrogate-based firm, which specialises in upper management, board level and interim appointments, has built a strong reputation in the engineering, oil and gas, medical and logistics sectors.

Earlier this year Larson expanded its expertise, establishing new divisions to serve the HR, marketing, FMCG and finance markets. Plans are now underway to add IT recruitment to its portfolio.

Managing director Martin Pollard, who co-founded the business with CEO Peter Robinson, said an innovative associate model had enabled the company to attract experienced industry specialists, not necessarily with recruitment backgrounds.

“We were looking for entrepreneurial people to help us build our business and set out to create a working environment that differs significantly from other headhunting firms, concentrating on the quality of appointments rather than volume.

“By taking on people who have worked in senior roles within our key industry sectors in addition to seasoned recruiters we feel we have created a rounded team to meet the needs of our clients and support our long term growth strategy,” said Pollard.

Larson will have 17 recruiters in place by the end of September and hopes to fill the remaining three roles by the end of the year.

Managing Director Martin Pollard said: “We are specifically looking for people who have experience of working or recruiting in the energy industry, one of our fastest growing divisions.

“Our aim is to double the workforce in the next two years and we will also be looking for new office locations in other parts of the UK, including London.”
