Recruitment suggests East Anglian manufacturing recovery

Throughout the second quarter of 2011, East Anglia’s leading recruitment consultancy Cooper Lomaz Recruitment has experienced a continuing increase in demand for its services from a growing number of clients to recruit engineers and engineering staff.

“So far our business in 2011 has shown a 25% growth over the same period last year, and our analysis of the positions which we have successfully filled indicates that manufacturing in the region is experiencing significant growth and development”, said Chief Executive Jane Lovell.

She continued: “Discussions with many of our clients lead us to believe that growth will continue so, whilst we have already recruited two additional consultants to work in our engineering team, we are now planning to recruit four further consultants to work with our clients in the food manufacturing, renewable and supply chain sectors.”

“On and off-shore renewable energy projects, particularly wind energy, are predicted to have a massive effect on employment in East Anglia in the years ahead.  However  there are indications that the current projects are already stimulating growth in the energy sector supply chain whilst many tier one suppliers manufacture their products in mainland Europe, there are East Anglia based businesses in tiers three and four which are feeling the effects of these multi-billion pound developments.”

The engineering team at Cooper Lomaz Recruitment has over 56 years combined experience focusing on the oil and gas industry, engineering, food manufacturing and supply chain functions. With today’s green agenda, the company has celebrated its 21st anniversary year with the establishment of a renewable energy division.
