SHL: Graduate Recruiters Annual Conference

SHL: Graduate Recruiters Annual Conference

Discovering the winning formula for People Intelligence

SHL, a global leader in talent management, will be attending this years Association of Graduate Recruiters Annual Conference, which takes place from 3rd - 5th July 2011 at the Celtic Manor in South Wales. At the event, Eugene Burke, Chief Science and People Intelligence Officer at SHL, will be holding a workshop on global talent acquisition where he will discuss how graduate recruiters need the right processes and talent to operate globally.

SHL is well placed to debate the AGR conferences key theme 'EMC: Discovering your winning formula', because the company specialises in People Intelligence, which is all about identifying the right graduate for the role and knowing what each individual has the potential to achieve. Not only does the company work closely with graduate recruiters, but it has also conducted research into the graduate marketplace. Its survey results reveal the lengths graduates will go to in order to find work, the pressures they face in order to gain a foothold on the career ladder and the value they place on a degree.

At the event SHL will also make available for the first time a white paper on talent potential in graduates. The paper presents the findings from SHLs involvement in the second TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards and reveals how graduate recruiters are increasingly looking for innovative ways to identify high quality talent and in an ever more competitive marketplace. It examines the UK graduate recruitment marketplace, discusses the challenges faced by graduate recruiters and presents an insight into the work-relevant skills possessed by undergraduates, including the extent to which these skills meet the demands of employers. Please contact me if you would like a copy of this white paper.
